    Default Finding Maple

I had no idea finding maple would be so hard here in San Antonio. I wanted to get a 2 ft board that I could cut down into 3/4 strips and make runners for some sleds and other jigs. Zip, zero, nada can't find it around here anywhere. Is there a good place to get it online? I have Rockler's catalog and the only thing I see there would have to be planed down to the right thickness and I don't have a planer......suggestions?

Yeah.....buy a planer? All joking aside, I have a few hundred board feet of hard maple, just tell me where you want it sent....

I don't use them for regular maple, but I would occasionally get curly maple from Niagara Lumber, in East Aurora, NY. http://www.niagaralumber.com/

They'll send you price list which includes UPS Shipping. Everything thing comes strech wrapped, and of pretty good quality.

    Hope this helps
