Downdraft Table

Has anyone used one of the Grizzly downdraft tables? They are not that expensive and I thought this would be handy to have in the shop and would be a huge help in keeping the shop cleaner. The table top ones would be easy to store under a workbench and pull out and connect to the DC system when getting ready to sand a project.

I haven't used one of the downdraft tables, but you can make one fairly easy to hook into your DC system. I've seen lots of plans on the Internet for free for them.

I built a table kinda like this http://www.woodworkersworkshop.com/p...ding_table.htm a few years ago. Need to rebuild it after I removed the casters for it and redesign it now that I have more experience. I was given a similar blower and motor for free and wanted a project to use it with.

Like the plan, what a great idea! My brother has some old fans similar to the one on the link that I could use for this, but I think they might be three phase. I like way it integrates into the out feed table, must also make a useful assembly surface when not being used for sanding
