    Default Mobile Video?

I am in the process of upgrading my video software capabilities for NewWoodworker.com. One of the new capabilities is creating video specifically for mobile devices like the Iphone and such.
How many of the NWW Forum members use mobile devices and would like to have videos available for them?

I have the Blackberry World Edition by RIM and spend a lot of time in airports. (Heading to Boston on Sunday) A mobile format would be nice for me.

I have put up a mobile test page with one test video. This is only a test video while test-driving the new software but it was in the editor. If someone can try the link and let me know how it looks or if it works at all, I'd appreciate it!

OK. I apparently got something very wrong here. I will have to research this more and perhaps actually find out what I am doing...?

Maybe I should be asking what kinds of video formats your phones accept? I shojld be able to make virtually any format which might be part of the problem. I have hundreds of formats to pick from..... Hunt and peck could take some time here...

I use a Blackberry for work and try to surf with it as little as possible. I use a Laptop for any real web work.

My woodworking is my release from all the electronics in my daily job. However, it seems that our shops have become more dependent on electronics as time goes by with digital calipers, digital protractors, laser guides etc..... Kind of ironic.

    Default digital world

i tried to use my phone as a data kind of thing to connect me to all that stuff. i went back to my ink pen and daily planner.

i go into the shop as a get-a-way. i like my digital stuff as it helps accuracy. i like to read, so rather than depend on my phone, i just bring/buy a magazine or book.

maybe as the NWW forum grows, it can be added for those that would like it, but me, i am good like this.

If some of you could, please tell me the make and model phones you have. I am working with a new computer and powerful new video software that has presets for generating video for most phones on the market. Working towards a specific phone might be a good way to get started testing on-line video for them. Send the info to thintz@ctc.net
I also have updated the test page with a new video version you can try in the mean time.

    Thanks!

Hi Tom. I am sitting in the airport in Houston at this moment so I thought this would be a great place to test it but got the same error on Test2 as I did above.

My BB is a Verizon World Edition. (8830 I think) I will have to verify that though as the model number is under the battery.
